Still, I find it very presumptuous to assume that every patriot will sooner or later turn into a fascist. And this is coming from someone who can't identify with any of these terms.
And that's the thing right? What more reason would there be for national pride than to erase history? And that is a classic fascist move. People are always easier to control when they make their country part of their personality.
@Ball Fondlers, it's the same in most European countries. Many of the western ones have a colonial history that they tend to sweep under the rug. Australia seems to at least publicly process its history.
It's mostly just brainwashing. They don't know why they are proud, they are just told to be. Turn on the tv. Go aussie go. Proud aussie. 100% australian. blah blah blah

HxC recommendations for metalheads #3: Everyone report to the mosh pit! There's a hard-hitting hardcore party going on that will raise the roof. Can I get a woop woop?
Metal/Hardcore hybrid... This is how you do it right:
Ridiculously energetic shit with a nice prog touch and wonderful sense of melody yet still packs a huge punch to the face.
Man, if I could only give it another thumbs up... Maybe in the form of a review, heh!

Written by Boxcar Willy on 11.12.2012 at 00:53 Alto, as in musical theory, it's the high section of a band. Like if someone has a high singing voice, they'd an alto singer.
Don't know why I saw a typo there as I'm familiar with the term. Anyways, I think it's a great album. I personally can't see it produced in another way since it doesn't aim for brutality like your regular deathcore with very low tones, but for sheer energy. The only things that are high are the lead guitars tbh. The bass, drums, riffs and vocals give a low enough contrast to the crazy leads.
It's also worth mentioning that this albums pretty much flows like one big song so there's lost of dynamics in terms of sound. Lead based song or riff based songs, etc...
