I Just Wondering For Those Assholes And Haters Who Rate This Album ( 1 ) & ( 3 ) !!! What The Fuck ??!! GROW UP You Idiot Haters x-(
The high ratings here is justifiable as Korn knock this one out pretty hard. To be very honest, i'll put this fucking album right after self-titled. You can say they been on drugs again and recorded new album to bring good ol' Korn days; the fact of the matter is whatever they have done, "The Serenity Of Suffering" bought the old Korn flavors.
I'll admit I've never been a fan of Korn, but this album does seem to have some of the best material since "Untouchables". Granted, it's not good enough to sway my opinion of the band overall, but the musicianship here is generally very solid and accessible. It's more straightforward and never really attempts to polarize its core fanbase with weird genre-mashing phases. Instead, there's a lot of bouncy riff work and at times depraved atmospherics to enjoy.
The album before this was a real step up from several mediocre efforts, but this is Korn back to their very best, my second favourite of theirs behind Issues in fact.
They got their heavy sound back, and improved on every aspect of the sound quality, making this their most quality sounding album in years, and also their most consistent too, with no real bad songs for a change, not many great one's either but enough decent one's. "Black Is The Soul" being my favourite pick.
