I don't think I ever listened to any record this year who is severely detached from every note - excruciating forceful riffs with bland drumming and terribly off sounding vocals.

Basically, it's a power metal band trying real hard to be a good thrash unit.

Don't get the power metal reference at all. This is proper old school Brazilian thrashy, death metal. Welcome to the wonderful world of Vulcano.

Ok, so what?!

As I said, it sounds extremely detached with broken nodes that made overall experience dull.

I'll have to check more records to see the stability and their evolution of sound, but as what the latest disc has to go for concerned, it's extremely dull.

They've always channeled a fine line between sounding sloppy and precise. Yes it sounds scrappy, archaic and barely held together in places but that was the way a lot of the best 80's thrash records were recorded.

This album is a belter. Best thing they've recorded for years.

I dunno, but I love the throwback feel, like very oldschool Sepultura or early Slayer/Teutonic thrash. Super aggressive, anything but dull
