That's a drawing by Theodor Kittelsen. His drawings are also the ones used on the albums Hvis lyset tar oss and Filosofem. I believe this drawing is called nøkken, which shares it's name of the mythological creature it depicts.

It WAS, yeah
There are also other examples of bands who did metal or rock at some point, but turned their way toward ambient or some electronic music. Having them in Metalstorm is indeed, along the lines of what Troy Killjoy said, a way to keep track of those bands out of nostalgia or memories from the past.

But really, it was mostly a joke and not an invitation for any meaningful discussion.

They shoulda kept him in prison so he'd keep making albums like the two prison ones.

I do know it was for a April fools joke, but I'd laugh even harder if Metal Archives put in Blood on the Dance Floor and ICP for their April fools day. oh and all their albums has to be rated high. lol

This exactly, it was not bad. I liked tracks 2, 4, 10, 11, 13 and 16 which are about half the duration of the album.

There's some decent material here but I can't think of a single moment that would lead to me calling it gorgeous.
