Gotta say it's not the most original sounding album, but hey, this stuff is very well executed and the songs aren't too shabby. As I see it, if we are looking for a follow up to Helloween EP / Walls Of Jericho, this album suits quite nicely. While I think the songwriting improved on the second album (spoiler alert), it doesn't mean that the debut's songs are much worse. For instance, the song "Reactor" is a pure speed metal masterpiece and it summarizes perfectly what this band is all about.

Do you like headbanging? Do you like kicking ass? Well, this is pretty good material to get going

I agree, seems band still plays bad quality garage and dont want what genre play. Its HM, its speed, but then again, Sonata Arctica nowadays can do PM better. Somehow disappointing here.
