Brutal death metal, as technical as it often is, has remained pretty stagnant in the past years and missed most developments that death metal has had in the past decade. Enter Afterbirth.

Probably my favorite album of the year so far along with the new Devangelic. I keep coming back to this thing very impressed, it's definitely going to make me check out their back catalog.

I would've never listened to this in its entirety if it weren't for Grizzly Butt's Top 100 list:

https://grizzlybutts.com/2020/12/21/the-top-100-albums-of-the-year-2020/?fbclid=IwAR3kmQKfjc_SJNCwXlQL1fDXtHh_vv-6hBGtZJF5uZ1crExuQCdaV1YbSUo

The reason I say this is because the second track is set by default on his list. So when I listened to the first minute or so of that track I knew I had to check out the rest. Before, I only listened to the first few seconds of the first track and decided it wasn't for me. So if you initially skipped over this because you weren't liking the first track then listen to the second one and see if you like it then.
