I cannot be very objective with Paradise Lost. It's not just the fact that I grew up with their records, but also that they themselves grew up digging the same music that I did when I was younger.

Surely the best record of the decade (in my taste): the guys magnificently delivered all the possible good things you could expect from PL with some very good new accretion.

I'm not a fan of Paradise Lost, but I gave this album a listen, since it's competing with Draconian for AOTY and since I actually like some PL songs. What can I say, this album is actually really good. The best PL album for me, I like it much more than anything from Lost Paradise to One Second (didn't listen to the others). I wouldn't mind it being considered AOTY, even if I probably prefer Draconian more.
