Since Staff Picking their Of The Flock album in 2013, I had carelessly let In The Company Of Serpents fall off my radar, neglecting their evolution from there and foolishly failing to be on active lookout for their subsequent releases. I need more sittings with Lux to get acquainted more nitty-gritty. No one knows it may be my AOTY. PS: "Lightchild" is such a delicious track.

Written by Cynic Metalhead on 18.07.2020 at 21:35 That one is more black metal than sludge though, I would say. They definitely started off with their debut as more sludge oriented, but they've shifted more to the BM with their more recent material, especially Ascension. Great release regardless.
