The sadness of everything being cancelled is gone, NEW BELL WITCH!!

This is my AOTY even though its not out yet.

Not as exited as I was before MR, slight disappointment that and imo there was more than enough collaboration on that album already. I would prefer something more sinister, more death or sludge to create some dynamics, but maybe the album after this can do that.

Pre released single is fairly boring, but might just be my current mood. However I really wished they'd mix things up a bit this time around. I think they explored most of the sound they had before already.

It doesn't seem all that exciting at first listen, but maybe it's a grower.

EDIT: It is not. Maybe it's really just me but damn if it's not all that great?

The second track, "Heaven Torn Low I (The Passage)" left me hungry for some funeral doom as the folk elements went on for a little too long. So when the third track hit the beginning sounded like the best thing ever. The beginning of the final track, "The Unbodied Air" sounds like a more unsettling but what I like to call "copyright" version of the main riff from the first track.

Best parts for me were the first half of The Bastard Wind, Heaven Torn Low par 1, and the last 10 minutes of The Unbodied Air.

I like this actually much more than famous Mirror Reaper, really atmospheric with beautiful melodies.
