It's better than St. Anger for sure, but by Megadeth standards, indeed average. Still, it has its redeeming moments.

This is a very patchy album. The title track is weak, and "1000 Times Goodbye" which is otherwise a decent song, is almost ruined by those annoying "phone calls". lol "When" shamelessly rips off "Am I Evil", and "Losing My Senses" is IMO the worst track Megadeth have ever recorded. Its not a bad album, but definitely weak for Megadeth.

I obviously don't agree.  Aside from the phone calls, the lyrics are a bit silly. But musically its fine IMO. lol

I wasn't big on the groove and weird harmony. Also, lyrics are quite silly, actually. It's one of the few breakup songs Mustaine has written. Dammit, does he suck at that, haha.

Breakup songs generally, usually have awful lyrics. lol Although I think the lyrics to "Tornado Of Souls" was based on a past relationship that Dave had. But the lyrics to that are miles better than "1000 Times Goodbye"!

Completely uninspired album, especially when considering that the only 2 decent songs are: one that was ripped off Diamond Head and the then one that they ripped off themselves...

XD The rating is 6.9. But seriously, this album is ok imo. I think that lots of the song are great like "Disconnect" and "1000 Times Goodbye" and more. After the awesome intro, When was a bit weak imo. It is not as good at the band's first 5 albums, but it is decent.

Lots of hate towards this album that i don't quite understand. Not the most memorable thats for sure but return to hangar and burning bridges are two songs i really like by megadeth. and to the person who gave this a 2. you realize you just rated a megadeth album as "Pure Shit" right? be reasonable

Ok i understand why people think its some weak album but Dread and the Fugitive Mind its a great song...and more...the whole album as some catchy lyrics you gotta give them that

"Dread And The Fugitive Mind" is a great song, and I love the solo on it.  Overall though, it is a patchy album. It's follow up, "The System Has Failed" was so much better.

06. Recipe For Hate...Warhorse
07. Losing My Senses
08. Dread And The Fugitive Mind
09. Silent Scorn
10. Return To Hangar
11. When
without Moto Psyco and The World Need A Hero.
I think that band had a bad manager a that time.
