Some great tunes on this album, though many linger on for WAY too long. Area 51, The City is Lost, Valley of the Kings, and Through the Gate all have some good ideas thrown in but are totally drawn out and tiring; the latter also has a pretty terrible chorus. All the other tracks are pretty amazing however: the title track has this plodding, atmospheric sound to it that is beautiful in it's own way, Blood Brothers is catchy as all hell, Into the Blue is simply brilliant, and Goin' Home may be the most beautiful metal ballad I have ever heard. And of course, performances are top notch from all the players. Kuprij is a god at the keyboards, West is simply astounding with his range and color, and the rest of the band are no slackers by any means. Worth picking up.
