Holy fuck. Great gothic (doom) album, this. Can't believe I'm only listening to it now for the first time.

Indeed, terrific record. Seeing only 33 votes casted in is very disappointing. I spun this disc last year when I was listening to Vagrant God.

This really is top-notch gothic metal. Easily one of the best albums of the "beauty and the beast" style I've heard (as is indicated by its high ranking on my list). The clean male and female vocals are both excellent and fit perfectly.

Saw this album on your list Erik, I remember listening to it years ago and not feeling that impressed. Might give it a play through again.

Then why is it in your "ultimate gothic metal albums" list?

Definitely give it another spin. In my opinion it's an awesome album.

Tell you the truth its been a while since I last listened to their music, I've just heard to some of their songs on YouTube and liked quite alot especially the piano/violin and female vocals. Definitely nice stuff and I'll check out their other album too.

Yeah, I'm going to check out their other stuff as well, starting with the debut. All of their albums are on Grooveshark btw, not on Youtube.

And indeed, the piano, violin and female vocals are all great. And the male vocals as well. I still want this album in my list, despite the fact that harsh male vocals aren't heard often at all.
