After a really bad album (the infamous "Mission N° X") Udo Dirkschneider and his personal combo had to react seriously. Honestly, the previous album was a joke and a bad one and all the fans of the great Udo and the one of Accept, were really disappointed by this release. But Udo is a real Metalhead this kind of guys who knows how to change things when they're bad. It's done with "Mastercutor" the new release of the German combo which is clearly better than "Mission N° X" and that's a good news really. Read more ›› |

This is best Udo album many kick ass songs, many riffs and softer ballads what save the album 1,2,3 7,8 ,11 and even last song stands out. Its getting better by time,

I remember liking this one when it was released but listening throughout today is painful, the whole album just sounds dated as hell. The production with the weak guitar distortion and midi sounding drums was not uncommon during those years but it just strikes me how bad it sounds in hindsight. And it's just not that, some songs here are so repetetive and annoying (Walker of the Dark, Master of Disaster) or just plain boring (Tears of a Clown, Crash Bang Crash, The Devil Walks Alone) that it hurts. Vendetta is a fantastic song, one of UDO's best and The Wrong Side of Midnight is pretty cool but i'm not gonna listen to the whole thing ever again.
