And so, it's time for "Balance of Power" to follow up the success they have with the 2000 years "Perfect Balance", and I should start to say that I didn't hope too much on this album after I heard that the Lead singer, Lance King had parted ways with "Balance of Power". And then I'm not a big fan of progressive metal, not at all. But I'm really satisfied with their new singer. John K is really a good singer, imagine if you add some more aggression to our old friend Geoff Tate (Queensryche) and you'll have a clue what you have he sounds like.

New singer and a slight change in direction. You can still hear it's Balance of Power but it's heavier and more directed into prog metal. New singer John K. has a different voice than both Lance King and Tony Ritchie, singing in a lower register and reminds me of Geoff Tate. The album is just great, it has a kind of haunting vibe over it with fantastic riffs and strong vocal melodies, also the heaviness is very welcome.

This was their last album and while they did work on a follow up with once again a new singer it didn't pan out and I think it's safe to say that there won't be any new album from Balance of Power even if they never officially quit.

That's a shame indeed, no new music from them and they had a new vocalist at some point in Corey Brown (Psyco Drama, Magnitude 9). I was hoping for some new music with Corey on vocals.

Oh didn't know that, that would probably turn out great.

It hasn't and it won't. This was what was happening a while ago. They were supposed to start working on new music with Corey Brown (if i remember right 3-4 years after the release of Heathen Machine) . Unfortunately something happened and nothing came out of it. I kept hoping because i really like Corey Brown's singing.

Yeah I got that but I didn't know that he was onboard for a while. Great singer and I bet the end result would have been really good.
