I believe it's the best Megadeth album. All songs are quite good. I like Megadeth in Heavy Metal more than Thrash and I like this album more than the others!

All songs are quite good.
So an album full of "quite good" songs deserves a 10?

After this release, I just didn't care for Megadeth anymore, IMO they had lost the energy that attracted me to them in the first place with So Far, So good... I've heard that some of the newest stuff is quite good, but I can't get myself to check it out!

But a 10 on MS is perfect. Just read it yourself.

This album is ok, but just some songs just seem to drag on and on.

Anyway I like this album. Warman, do you have any problem with it or with "quite good" ?
I don't like to use the word "PERFECT" for anything.

Then DON'T rate it with a 10. A 10 means it is perfect.

Youthanasia is a perfect 10. Just as the first two albums and Rust in Peace.

This whole album just sounds too samey. When I first bought it I liked it a little, but after my third listen it became as boring and forgotten in my collection as Countdown to Extinction did. Dave just sounds too retrospective, like he's looking back on his career and wanting radio hits instead of writing material filled with attitude and inspiration.
I'd give it a 6.5, which rounds out to a 7... I guess. It's been a while, so the next time I play it I'll probably give it a lower rating.

Inferior to all of the albums preceding it, and superior to all the albums folloiwng it until Endgame. I do enjoy it a lot though, and being worse then the five preceding classics is nothing to be ashamed of-This album is just below Countdown, and still a classic in my eyes. A Tout Le Monde is one of my favorite Megadeth songs. I Thought I Knew It All is also an underrated song that deserves a place in their live shows.

Good album. Megadeth showing off some nice melodic riffage here. Countdown to Exctinction was step 1 on the road down Megadeth dousing the thrash flame, so it's no surprise to me they continued that with Youthanasia. It never really got re-ignited, sadly.

Some great tracks on this one. I would actually give it a 9.5 which rounds to ten, but this album was a great follow up to CtE and although not as thrashy is still great.

This album took months to grow on me. But once it did, I was hooked (still am) and couldn't get enough of it.
This is my favorite post-RIP 'Deth album.

You can't really rate with decimals, can you? Maybe he would REALLY have voted it a 9.65? Round that up and you get a 10. A lot of the albums I rate aren't necessarily the 9s or 10s you see on my profile, but that's the closest number I can rate them to my personal rating. Perhaps an album is 9.4? It's better than a 9, but the closest rating I can give it is a 9.
This album is quite good, I'll admit. I'd vote it something more like 8.25, but it still counts as an 8 with these whole number ratings.

According to this guy, I guess so. I definitely see your point, I'm just saying, maybe by saying "quite good" what he actually means is "Holy shitting godfuck, Batman, this is like group sex with three hookers and an Irish midget!" Sure it's not perfect, but 9.65 isn't perfect, is it? It's "quite good" as he would say.

Yeah, sure. Just a weird use of words there. Since 8 is "very good" at MS, "quite good" would be under it.

Its a little bit rushed up in my opinion. There are overwhelming songs like Reckoning day or train of consequences but on the other hand there are just too many fillers. I still rate it with a 8, just because im a huge Megadeth fan.
