Running Wild is so lame. Everything that is so cheesy about the genre you can find it with these guys. The costumes, silly themes, juvenile stage names, cartoonish mascot, uncomfortable anthems to legions of metal heads which borderline on homo eroticism, and even a tour with Motley Crue. Their music is fairly enjoyable and quite catchy at best (No one can out rhyme Rock n' Rolf, I'll give him that). Pretty much your common Iron Maiden style proto power metal group. I suppose our little front man gambled his lineup until the perfect one was found, because Death or Glory is a big step up for this once novelty band.

Flawless... Every single track is an anthem of metal.

The album has a high standard alright. After many listens I think "Renegade" and "Highland Glory" aren't quite as good as rest of the songs, but the bonus tracks make up for it. IMO "Wild Animal", "Störtebeker" and "Tear Down The Walls" could've been easily put on the original releases of "Death Or Glory" or "Blazon Stone" as they fit the sound of that RW era, definitely good songs.

Rating: 10 Some more thoughts on this album:

- One of the best if not the best production in RW albums
- "Riding The Storm", "Marooned", "Bad To The Bone", "Tortuga Bay" and "Battle Of Waterloo" are all absolute highlights in this band's career (Lately this song "Evilution" has become one of my favorites as well, the slow part near the end is fantastic)
- This drummer did an amazing job, easily the best drumming performance (and drum sound) in the RW's discography
- Fast songs, slower epic songs, an instrumental, killer riffs, great guitar solos — the album has everything that one could possibly look from a PM/HM album

10/10 'nuff said. Most of the times after buying and listening albums I get that feeling that an album wasn't worth of purchasing after all. This album, on the other hand, has always felt worthy of every cent it cost.

Rating: 8 This is a very good album. I only prefer BHI slightly more. That is only because it has brighter highlights.
DOG is probably a bit more consistent. It has decent songs, some very good ones, from beginning to end.

Rating: 10 'Renegade' kicks ass so does 'Highland Glory'!
