"Closure" consists of the first three songs of their sophomore album "Epilogue", which never got released by their label Descent Productions. The EP can be downloaded for free from the band's website. The other three tracks from "Epilogue" (titled "For I Fell", "The Art of Letting Go" and "Statues") will be re-recorded for the next album. Eternal Twilight. That's roughly what the name Ikuinen Kaamos translates to. It resides in your heart. As soon as you learn that you're deeply attached to your feelings of sadness and misery, you are immediately hooked on (almost) anything this band produced so far. Their most original effort however could not manifest in its intended form; Epilogue never got to be released. Instead, we got three songs as the "official" package, and if you were/are among the lucky and watchful ones you got to hear or have 2 more songs which were supposed to be included. With that in mind, I'd like to view this record to its wider extent, counting the songs "For I Fell" and "The Art of Letting Go" as if they were here, just hidden somewhere.

The Benighted
What a phenomenal EP. I've seen some talk comparing them to Opeth, and while that is an apt comparison, they definitely have a distinct sound all of their own, and it's a solid one. Definitely recommended for fans of the aforementioned band, and fans of prog in general.

Yep this had a little of personality but the 2010 was all about 'how to rip-off Opeth'

to stare into it himself.

"The Quaker"
The song Closure is better than everything Akerfeldt produced in the last 10 years altogether.

Fun stuff about "Epilogue": For I Fell is up on Youtube, don't know how. The Art of Letting Go is on Last.fm, and Statues is on the next album.
