Amazing album and my favorite from the band, listening TEN years later (edited on New Year's eve 2019).

I'm glad these guys are still around; mindless melodic death will always have a place in my heart, and these guys fulfill that to the utmost. I'm also glad that Claudio and Speed came back for the vocals, I read it was up in the air for a while as to whether or not Speed would return. I think it's not too far fetched to say that this is the probably the last DM album we will hear Speed on, but, honestly, I don't think they can accomplish much more with these three individuals singing together. MindTricks was more of a "call and response" type vocal styling where The Isolation Game strikes me as more of a "one demon with two heads (three if you count Ettore)"... this symbolizes a tighter unit and that, to me, is the most apparent aspect of this record. These guys sound like a band now, instead of just a collection of ideas, and even if the songs are much of the same old melodic death verse-chorus-verse-chorus repetition, it's always nice to see a band that knows how to do it well.

I look forward to Ettore's next release through Disarmonia Mundi, but I think he has exhausted Speed, and perhaps even Claudio, as vehicles for his specific brand of metal. Hopefully he finds some inspiration to take his work in a new direction.

It's a great album by all means. The production sounds slightly like on Fragments and therefore should be quite modern. Drums propel the songs really forward and make the catchy riffs really memorable. Especially Cypher Drone is godlike. Vocals are perfect as well. Choruses are adorable and extremely catchy. You'll find yourself humming them along for a long time after hearing them. Also thank god for making albums with more songs than just 9 or 10. This already deserves recognition and praise. Although I find Strid missing at some points, Claudio and Ettore can pull it off as well really well. Not as great as previous albums but nonetheless a great effort considering DM is only a studio band.

I prefer this to anything by Soilwork strangely... This band always had some really cool stuff going on, and Ettore is a genius if you ask me.

A huge fan of his Ghibili cover band, seriously sick stuff going on. Man, I even love the high pitch vocals on this.

Excelent music that sounds like compressed trough a digital funnel sadly. Still, as unoriginal and badly produced as it is still a great album!
