Just revisited this album. While Slaughter Of The Soul has earned its rightful place as the pioneering album of the early Swedish melodic death metal sound, Anger, Hate And Fury is sorely overlooked. Sure, it was released seven years after Slaughter... but you can't take away the superb melodies and aggressiveness this album has to offer together with lyrics very fitting to the album title.
The band broke up between 2006 and 2013 and it's 14 years between Anger, Hate And Fury and Black and then another five years until their latest album Among Ashes And Monoliths was released. But if there's one album to check out, it's this one. This is where they peaked. Calling this an excellent album is almost an understatement.
