I like this one although it was a step in a rather wrong direction - they became just a pop-rock band.
Last DL album worth listening to for me. I dislike what they released after Slang.

Normally people complain when a bad don't progress releasing the same old stuff over and over again.
Def Leppard tried something different and really failed. This is one time they should have stuck to their original sound.
I blame Kurt Cobain, damn grunge.

Incredible effort of hard rock. Look at the masterful song structures. Check out some of the best ballads since Hysteria. The grunge feel works for them at times, especially Pearl of Euphoria and Gift of Flesh. There's something raw, but contrived, to this album, that will always hold a strong place in my heart. But this recommendation goes with serious warning. If you are expecting heavy metal or even hard rock, you will likely be disappointed. This is not like early Leppard either; this is one of the last good efforts.
