  And this album is basically what happens when you travel the path of contemporary Satyricon - you end up sounding completely disinterested and lack any engaging elements whatsoever. This is neanderthal black metal in the most severe sense of the word, barely capable of carrying on faster than a walking pace and almost completely void of any outstanding riffs. The punk-infused aggression is all but gone and simple, basic riffs permeate with hints of pedestrian melodies. An album that by all accounts should be disregarded by newcomers and will forever be castigated by fans of the band. Half of the songs aren't even really songs...
