Best Kataklysm Album Ever<3

The first two tracks pretty much got me into extreme metal, still listen every now and again.
"Let Them Burn" has an awesome chorus.

Ya this gets a pretty bad rap for its overly technical musicianship and somewhat sterile production, but I personally think this is Kataklysm's best overall album. Perhaps because of the atmosphere or more epic feel, I'm still unsure. Although the two albums that led up to this are fantastic as well.

I really like Shadows & Dust, but Serenity In Fire just feels... meh... I haven't heard it in ahwile so maybe I'll relisten tonight.

Kataklysm's best by far for me would easily be Epic: The Poetry Of War

Not a surprise by any means, and definitely not a bad album. For some reason the more old school vibe doesn't work for me as well on that release, or maybe it's just that I haven't spent as much time with it as some of their newer albums and my opinion might actually be quite different. With this release I found the balance between old Kataklysm and modern death metal worked perfectly, but everything after this is just even more watered down, plasticized, etc.

btw I totally dislike anything before and after Epic: The POetry Of War strangely enough.
I find Kataklysm to be one of the most overrated bands around.

No no no, S&D and SIf are both presumptuous and superfluous to the point that i must antiquate my inner being. absolute atrocities.

Funny you should speak Portuguese since you claim to be from Andorra where they speak Spanish.

Contrary to the review i find this album really enjoyable , i don't consider their newer stuff to be worse than their first albums, i find myself listening to more of their recent songs than their older. But that is my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and shit.
