There is a new track on their myspace page listening now
It sounds okay but if the whole album is like this it might be too much of a departure from the earlier sound for me..

The Powerless Rise...is a pleasant change from AILD's typical generic music...its more heavier and sounds more thrash like...:o)
Right from the first single from this album 'Beyond our suffering' to tracks like 'parallel'...you can see alot of more heavier riffing and highly Melodic guitar solo's...which u ll be humming without realizing it for a couple o days...
Overall the sound of the band has drastically improved...with more progressive and metalcore drummin and catchy melodic solos...Tim's vocals are brutal as usual but it doesn't grab the spotlight in this album...ther is alot of improvisng by Tim in this album with more high pitch screams and growls. the clean vocals are on a minimal on this album as compared
to the last album but aptly placed and used in the powerless rise..
AILD has done a KICK ASS job in not strayin from their very own style of song structuring which is an added bonus for this album.
None the less songs like 'Beyond our suffering' 'Parallel' 'Anodyne Sea' and 'Condemned' are instant hits that ll have u headbanging and grooving to the melodic solos!!

By far their best effort yet. One of the only tolerable metalcore albums released over the past few years.

Gave this a listen as these the guys have been one of the better metalcore acts out there before their last album.

This album is a major improvement over An Ocean Between Us, but that really wasn't difficult. Not quite as strong as Frail Words Collapse, this would be a really good album if they would just cut the clean vocals all together. I know the harsh/clean mix is a hallmark of the genre, but to my ears it is one of the biggest problems with metalcore.

Quite enjoyed this album. Some songs are very catchy, like Parallels. Some of the clean vocals reminds me of Atreyu.

An impressively consistent album with a few standout songs. My favourite from them.

9.1/10 for me - 'Anodyne Sea' is the standout track. 'Beyond Our Suffering', 'Parallels' and 'Anger and Apathy' are all also fantastic.
