My favourite Rage album.
Raw caress is a killer.
Firestorm kicks ass.
And certain days is also very good.

Oh yes, this is one of Rage best albums.. an absolute killer from start to finish. It's filled with great riffing and hooks and the drummer is a total maniac, giving some stellar performances throughout the songs. If I had to choose some favourite tracks I could point to the quite simple yet effective The Missing Link and The Pit And The Pendulum. This albums longer work Lost In The Ice is also a highlight, keeps up your attention for it's full 10-minutes.

Interesting to see your opinion--and rating-- on this one, my favourite Rage album.
Even more interesting to see the tracks you point out. Because these three tracks are clearly not my favourite ones on this album (my favourite ones I have named in my post above). The ones you mention are not bad, title track is obviously good, but I like most of the songs on this album more than the other two you mention (that is in particular Refuge, Who dares, From the underworld and my 3 fav ones).

And I guess I would not really agree that this album is a "killer from start to finish". That is why I downrated it from 8.8 to 8.4 some time back. There are some tracks to find here that are ok, but not killer IMO (especially Wake Me When I'm Dead and Her Diary's Black Pages).
Still a great album overall.

All those you mentioned are also very good tracks, I just felt I had to pick out some tracks and it happened to be those three. I really think every song here is atleast good but most of the time great, and when the flow of the album is so smooth it makes it tough to choose favourites.
Even the bonus track Another Kind Of Madness is a stellar track that should have been included on the album.

Need to add that I love the artwork as well, definitely among their coolest!
