So sad the vote abuse going on to try and take this album down. Seriously, any vote under a 3 should be thrown out. Even if this isn't your genre of metal you can't help but respect the quality of it.

think it better. if an album has an average of "9.0" it'll need 9 votes of "10" do do the same work as 1 vote of "1". so if it didnt have those 6 votes of "1" it would have a much higher rating. But still the point prevails... There such a huge amount of people completely overreacting about this album greatness compared to the people who seems to dislike it. I always believed that the "vote abuse" card is one of the cheapest complains in Metal Storm. It's not like you can tell for real what are the intentions of the people who vote. I don't see the point of making a complain based on arguments that can EASILY be used against the person who makes the complain in the first place.

Made some quick estimation in excel using extremum value separation (5% taken). First rate is new, than those that used in current straight method:

I just think votes of 1 are from people who didn't even listen to it. I HATE Cryptopsy and even I gave None So Vile a 5 because I can appreciate the talent and effort. I've voted on over 530 albums and given out eight 10s including to this album. I don't care if this doesn't remain #1 for 2011 but I still think votes of 1 shouldn't be counted as its obviously a spiteful vote.

Well...who cares about votes here? it is just statistic...none of those top albums (almost from any year) here are my favorites...it is all irrelevant! for me, this album tops all of this shit with ease, and not just this year, but in a decade
the friend of mine told me few days ago when I was listening this album on my mobile, 'Man this sucks bad!', I turned it off and in the near bar was playing Gipsy Kings and I asked him, 'I suppose you prefer Gipsy Kings over this?', and he arrogantly answered me, 'Gipsy Kings are better of Septicflesh!', though I know he lied...and he's listening some Crust Punk Grind Core noise, you know that awful tasteless shit...so you see where are those 1s coming from and how much they are irrelevant!

and for the sportmanship I'll give Omnium Gatherum an 1 cuz they sucks hehehehe

try also "Communion" and "Summerian Daemons". also AMAZING albums and different from each other. Communion is more Brutal than the Great Mass and Summerian Daemons is very different too.

Well, if i step in to the phase of comparison then I must say that this album isnt that good compare to "Communion". This album has covered all the aspect of what they do which they are doing it up till now...very normal...but what strikes this stuff differently from the other albums is less orchestra and more of palpably Death Metal. Indeed, it gonna be 9 from my side for sure.

Nothing special here... very decent.

also like communion more (communion a 10, this one a 9 though!haha!). summerian daemons is something very different. brutal, more atmospheric but with less orchestral parts...
