Maybe I don't understand music very well but I never understood why people call "I Was Made for Lovin' You" a disco song. Sounds like a fairly straight-forward rock song to me. It was popular during the disco era - that's all I can work out. There are some ordinary moments on this album, especially the tunes that Ace sings (I can't stand his voice) but I really dig songs like "Sure Know Something" and "Magic Touch".

LOL Now I get it. Different tastes is what makes music great. Some prefer this garbage while I prefer what others think is garbage.

Weird that you rate this a 7 while you consider it garbage.

EDIT: Shit, you changed your rating right at the moment I quoted you

It is a disco song because it's got a disco beat to it, that's all

A pretty weak album, the only good songs are the ones you mentioned, I like those two a lot as well.

I agree 100%. I haven't really listened to disco, but yeah, I Was Made For Lovin' You has some disco elements, but it is just another rock song by KISS

The bass line in I Was Made For Loving You is quite your typical disco beat.

Yes, it has disco influences, especially in the bass line, but I still wouldn't call the whole thing Disco.

But then again, I don't know disco

Joey Jordison(RIP) said (watching him in a youtube video talking about Kiss, Police and etc) that Dynasty is one of his top elite favourite albums of all time not only by Kiss but in general. He considers it as a brilliantly made album. That said from the ex-drummer of Slipknot. I totally agree. The songwriting is stellar. Every song is a hit. Great melodies grooves, guitars, vocal lines. One of the few albums by Kiss which I can listen to from start to end without skipping anything. One of my top favourites alongside Destroyer, Creatures of the night, and their debut album.
