So I finally have listened to this album for a few times. Didn't seem bad, also it might be better too... 'Kurbads' was one of my favourite Latvian folk tales when I was little. The album kinda lcks melody, or at least a catchy one. highlights: 'The Stone Sentinel', 'Son Of The Mare', 'The Devilslayer'.
In Latvian the album obviously sounds A LOT better than in English. I hope to find the (Latvian) lyrics sometime soon.

Maybe its just my patriotic feelings breaking out, but this album seems to be one one the best folk metal albums this year. Really enjoyed listening to it!!! Songs are good, quality of record and sound of folk instruments could be better, but its still fine!
