Even before this album was released and before anyone could have heard a sound of it, quite everyone knew that this will not become an album worth a 10. Children Of Bodom have changed too much to return to the old awesome tunes. The band stated before the release of it that Relentless Reckless Forever would happen to be the best Bodom album ever. Blah blah the same shit a band always cries out for marketing, but in this case it even sounded ridiculous. I admit that I was one of those who decided not to spend money on this record. But now I am glad that I am not that firm with my principles in some cases! Expecting some Blooddrunk shit with only more party atmosphere it was a real surprise to me when I first listened to it.

Imagine a man walking down the road, traveling right down the middle, never wavering, never stopping. Maybe it's dark out, a slight echo to his footsteps. All of a sudden, the man stops. His ears perk up for a second, shrugs it off and keeps right on walking. That is about as close as Children Of Bodom are on this record to returning to their classic sound.

The last three albums didnt suck as long as you dont compare them with the first three. ok bodom beach terror was the song that got me in to "deadlier" metal .

How can people say "Are you dead you?" is a bad album. I agree that blooddrunk is a bit plain but some awesome songs came from "Are you dead yet?" were pure gold. I'm not just a new bodom fan at all, i love all their albums. I have a feeling the new album is going back to something similar as AYDY due to alexi saying that they are going for a more melodic album.

After hearing to the sample of the new song they released I think it's gonna be a lot better than blooddrunk, they seem to have mixed the new and the old style. I hope the hole album goes in that direction and surprises a lot of people cause everybody its just saying shit about it.

I really hope it is. But blooddrunk was fair average. I mean a couple of good songs but mostly meh. But then again what some people like others dont, so i dont think people should be judging this album until its out. I am still very hopeful. And yeah i like all the albums.

I must agree with Got Mayhem? the neoclassical first 3 were amazing by far their best and much preferred to the slower heavier approach. Follow the Reaper was def by far the album of their career. I do love HCDR as well but the last 2 are not the CoB i fell in love with, they are not CoB in my opinion. Had CoB released AYDY and BD under a diff name or if some other band had released those albums they would be great and I would love them because they are good but they are not what I expect from the band that gave us timeless classics like HB and FTR. I agree that this is going to be the album that either keeps me interested or breaks my CoB spirit. Personally I think its Alexander's fault, notice that the last good neoclassically inclined album they wrote was the last album to feature Alexander Kuopolla. So either Roope needs to get off his ass and help write some stuff that will make us all proud that the ex-Stone legend is still playing guitar or Alexi needs to crawl back to Alexander's house and beg, on all fours, Mr. Kuopolla to rejoin the band so we can get some fucking HB/FTR pt2 albums.

Actually come to think of it I don't believe Alexi would ever do that, I think he's too proud and potentially too self-enamored to do so, so somebody needs to go beg Alexander to rejoin. If I had the money I'd be on the first plane to wherever he's living these days to beg him to rejoin but I'm broke. Or maybe somebody just needs to get him back on drugs. Idk wtf but I want the old CoB back. And fuck off to anyone who has anything negative to say about MY OPINION and horns to all who agree with me...\m/...

The last COB album I really enjoyed, and thought had a good sense of consistency was HCDR. "Are You Dead Yet" had some great songs, but was also pretty patchy. The last album was generally very poor, and definitely their worst. I'll still be checking this out though, and see if they can surprise everyone with a turnaround in their form. lol xD

Remember when this band was fucking awsome and few of your friends new about them? I came in on Follow The Reaper and I just remember eating that one up. HCDR was good. AYDY had 2 good songs and blooddrunk was atrocious. See a pattern? This next one is going to suck noodles and penis sandwiches baked in giant piles of shit from the frozen asshole of mars.

What do I have to say about this album? Only that those are some of the gayest song titles I've seen in my life. Pussyfoot Miss Suicide cracks me up especially.

This is sad. I hope whoever wrote those dies from lyrical HIV.

This band gets more and more moronic with age.

Exactly my thoughts.
Although, these titles do get some competition from the titles of Darkthrone's latest stuff.

Come on, later Darkthrone is awesome! The difference is that later Darkthrone is quite satirical. My guess is this isn't.
