I'm not quite sure why, but this album has always stood out to me in terms of Brutal Death Metal. The riffs are technical enough to add variety, the drumming is absolutely savage, and the vocals are pretty much as good as they get with this style. My only complaint is that it really isn't dense enough at times, and it makes some of the more technical riffs sound rather flimsy.

Agreed. The groove gets lost a little at times too.
