There comes a time in every man's life when he asks himself: Am I metal? Vanilla or chocolate? Fart or hold it in at the mercy of this hot chick in line next to me at the super market? And especially the age-old question: Why don't girls find me approachable?

04.07.2011 I wouldn't recommend this addictive album to just anyone, but if you can stomach the EXTREME candy-coated pop sensibilities of this kind of music then give ε Psilon a go. There are some absolutely killer tracks on this album just begging for you to dance around your house/apartment/Heavy Metal Castle like a complete loser to. FUN. FUN. FUN.

I want.... but i guess i must download it, its hard to find new metal album in my country...:banger2:
Daydream Nation - 30.05.2011 at 21:21
Well, it will be interesting to see the transformation this time around. The new song definitely sounds like Idolator-kind of sounds, so I anticipate I will enjoy this album very much. It's only about two weeks away. Finally something to turn the tides in what has been a...fairly pathetic 2011 in terms of metal music.
And a tribute to Violator? Wow...that's interesting.

BAH....you're out in Japan, I need you now! Somebody leak it please!

EDIT: I'm not sure how Chef Metal Head has a copy of Epsilon to evaluate if he lives in the United States. There is virtually no link to this entire album and only the teaser/single is available. Bad Metal Storm rating system? I think so.

Rating: 8 It's generic, it's nothing new, it's their worst album, but there's something about this album that makes it unbelievably catchy to me. Kind of a guilty pleasure.

Rating: 8 Holy shit. They def have crossed over into more electronic music overall... Which is great, cus I always thought their metal elements came across as SUPER generic and lame. Sounds more natural too, like they aren't trying to be something they're not. Also, this album looses some SERIOUS momentum during the last 4 or so songs. >_> Overall, I'd probably rate this album a lot lower, but there are quite a few killer tracks during the first half of the album that make me wanna dance like a loser. So, you know.

OH AND just a warning for those curious... This album is not very "metal". XD

Rating: 6 Oh god fucking hot damn shit. This album DEFINES 'guilty pleasure' for me. This is so extremely un-metal, but so much fun to listen to!

Rating: 7 If you want "real" metal (let's not get into that discussion, but you know what I mean), you should probably look elsewhere. But if you want some energetic, pop-infused electro metal (what I normally call "ABBA metal"), this will have you dancing all summer for sure. Guilty pleasure? I really don't give a damn. It gets the blood pumping. It makes me happy.

Merry-Go-Round is the best fucking song on the album D: I can't believe this is the album I've heard the most this summer, what the heck?
So. God. Damn. Catchy! ARGH

Meh, disagreed. I find it quite boring, this kind genre fusion is just... not natural.
A few nice, catchy tracks and all ("Merry-Go-Round", you can go fuck yourself for not getting out of my head for a while) but overall just tedious.

That track is really good imo XD. I think the genre fusion sounds cool. I'm totally not into this music at all but oddly enough this album is fun to listen to and dance like an idiot.

I give it shamelessly a solid 8,0 because fif I still can't stop listening to it after weeks it must mean something.

This was pretty much my reasoning too.

Also, I think that this is the first electronic/metal fusion album of theirs that sounds naturally blended. Very good balance between electronic candy pop beats and vocal melodies, and metal aggression.

I've only heard a couple of tracks from their previous albums but I have to agree that this album is well balanced and blended in terms of genre fusions. I friggin love her vocals specially because they are a bit deep which I highly enjoy in female vocals.

i agree . every single song (every single second of them) its outstanding!!!!!!: and the solos are better in previous works but for me its really awesome this one! some people say that this is their worst work and maybe they're right but for me its absolutely perfection!!!

Rating: 9 Just got this, but haven't listened yet. I bought it because of the "electro death metal" description sounds either really crap or really awesome. Hoping for the latter.

I really like it but I see very little death metal on it XP.
Unless death metal is "some screams here and there and fast riffs sometimes..."

Rating: 9 I think this album gave me ADD.
Sounds like Shagrath and Christina Scabbia became DJs. (hey, thats not a bad idea-DJ Shaggy and DJ Scabby!)
Also some shades of Dragonforce in there, too. Probably should be listed as Electro Power Metal instead.

I agree. They used to pretty much be a CoB sound-alike band, from what I can tell... so it makes sense. Also Moon Light Wave IS a power metal song. 100% sunshine and flowers right there. XD

I usually put CoB under Melodic Death. I usually read Extreme Power Metal as Melodic Death Metal with Power Metal keyboards. But then Melodic Death isn't a very well defined genre, basicly a mix of Power, Thrash and Death sounds.
But yeah, this Epsilon isn't really heavy enough for the Death genre, just some death vocals.
Dark†SymphonY - 05.09.2011 at 22:36
Rating: 8 This is a pretty enjoyable and catchy album. Its good, but it isn't something I wouldn't listen to all the time.

EDIT: Ok, after about 100 listens of non-stop epsilon fun, this has just reached the top of catchiest metal album ever.
SamuelSanchezAlvarez - 14.09.2011 at 03:29
It's the first album with elements of electronic music that I've could hear in my life. I think that it's a weird fusion but it doesn't mean that its sound is bad, in fact it's really good. I prefer the voices of Ryo and Sophia instead of Sadew (aka JapanAnders), they're perfect for this kind of music.

Rating: 8 I love it. It's fast, energetic, futuristic and really catchy. Just what I wanted. Only complaint is that the last 3 songs lose some memorability.
Rhiannon - 13.03.2013 at 14:47
Rating: 8 I just pop into this band accidentally (I searched for some Japanese bands, as I've never heard one), and wow, this is good. I don't really like trance or melodeath, but this mix is interesting. I like Sophia's voice, too bad she is not in the band anymore. Best song for me is Stargazer.
