What is this???

I'm honestly surprised you'd ask. How did you stumble upon a Skullflower album thread?

I remember reading that J.O.O.E praised this band, so I thought I'd check them out...

wow... I don't know what to say... Its like the beginning of an atmospheric song, with wierd noises, but thats the whole song. The whole 24 minute song...

Try Orange Canyon Mind or IIIrd Gatekeeper. Less noise.

I remember when I tried Fucked on a Pile of Corpses.
To use an already overused meme, bricks were shat.

It's kind of a shame because that album and its ilk (such as this one) are where Skullflower are least relevant. Skullflower's music was once amongst primary inspiration for the likes of Earth and Sunn O))) and generally a pioneering force in drone and noise rock. I say go early Skullflower if you really want to know them properly for who they are.

I did do that, actually, soon after Fucked on a Pile of Corpses. Tried Orange Canyon Mind and Last Shot at Heaven. Still completely unsure what to think about them.
