This is a nice split. I don't think it would be that great to listen only the Candy Cane -side, but it really sets the mood prefectly for the Oranssi Pazuzu -side. As a split this is really great and I highly recommend to listen this as a whole album experience. But 'cause I know battle metal is sexy nowadays, I hereby declare the winner of this fight: Oranssi Pazuzu.

I was listening to this split in the subway once, and as I was transferring from one line to another and just listening to the first track, I heart saxophone, and I thought, "is it on the track?" When I took off the earplugs, I heard somebody playing the saxophone. When I put the plugs back in, I could still hear the saxophone, and it fit the music so well as if it was part of the composition. A strange experience.
Haven't given this enough spins, so can't express any opinions.
