Damn, damn, damn. Talk about a schizophrenic reaction to music...I was really stoked on hating this. In fact, even as I sit and listen to it, something in my brain is telling me I should hate this...but I have to admit, this is actually pretty solid.

Rating: 8 Finally some sanity restored. This was #1 for a few hours yesterday. Phew !!
Coming back to the album, I will say it was enjoyable. Nice catchy hooks and singable choruses. A little less cheesiness as well as going overboard with the word "Hallelujah" would have been preferred, but a good album nonetheless.

Rating: 5 I don't get it. Everyone seems to love this album, especially many non-power metal fans. Maybe it will grow on me? But after just one listen I really don't get it. Is it SUPPOSED to be kind of a joke? I love cheese but this is just too much to not be some parody band.

Rating: 8 Its just K I C K A S S !!! Quite a gothic church elements engulfing all over the songs and with the fact that its very less orchestration unlike in "Bible of the Beast". However, the latter album was absolutely amazing with rich composition opening up the horizon's of Powerwolf's fans. This album is much intense, edgy and very addictive to words like "Blood" "Wolf" "Church" . It's to catchy too and it wont be a big shit that after finishing up the album you screaming "All we need is the Blood" or "Die Die Die!!" in nearby environment scaring people and kids. Some of the songs imo sounds exactly like Manowar but 9 is from m y side is respectably deserves.

Rating: 9 So glad I imported the 2 disc version, since the orchestral tracks are excellent! It gives a unique, much more magnificent tone to featured songs, and makes me appreciate Attila's vocals even more. At this point in the year, I see no reason this one won't be in my top releases

Rating: 8 I am blown away by this album... it's great.

Rating: 10 Many good songs, but bogged down by slower, more enotional ones like all power metal these days...bummer, really. I actually took all the faster, more aggressive ones from this and their last release and combined em into one album called: Blood of the Beast ( Bible of the Beast + Blood of the Saints). Even combined the album artwork....A much more listenable album.
mario132 - 16.10.2011 at 01:27
I think Blood of the Saints will be my best album this year.
NocturnalStalker - 08.01.2012 at 15:36
Rating: 9 Glad to know there is still some power metal with guts out there. To be honest, I gave up on this subgenre some years ago... Yes, their music is in no way original, but, really, is there that much original music nowadays? And these guys definitely make some solid songs that get stuck in your head (in fact, I can't get the bridge of "Sanctified with Dynamite" out of my head ).
And I must mention that the organ (even synthesized) fits this kind of music really good.
The Norseman - 22.02.2012 at 22:40
Rating: 7 I have to admit that this album actually made me think about changing my vote for best power metal album of 2011.

It's really easy to be in love with this album in the first rotation. Unfortunately, it's so easy that after a dozen of rotations, it gets hard to stand some of the songs. That is the main reason why I didn't gave a better rate to this album.

"Murder At Midnight" and "Night Of The Werewolves" are my favorite songs.
mandark - 24.03.2012 at 23:45
  Awesome vocals.
