Black metal from the United States.

I had it figured alright. But why use such a moniker? Only i've never seen it being used anywhere before and I thought it was a seperate genre or something at first. Like unbelievably shitty bm or something.

But why use such a moniker?

I think it's just a way to differentiate between European black metal and American black metal. For the most part the US scene tends to have its own little niches that separate it (for better or for worse) from the rest of the world I guess. Or maybe it originated as a result of an elitist tag.

This album always makes me think of travelling on the train back and forth between Canterbury and Brighton. It's good train music.
