By now everybody is aware of the enormous wave of revivalist death metal bands that appeared two years ago, being this year when the real explosion was heard. When so many bands are basically doing the same thing you just have to follow your instincts. You just know when it's a band that really feels the music they are making or just want to jump on the latest trend (cough Vallenfyre? cough). Fortunately Sonne Adam belongs to the former group with music that displays a considerable amount of passion and dedication for our beloved death metal cult.

Say goodbye to the overproduced and plastic shit that is sold to you as "Death Metal" and get a taste of what the genre really is about. Trasformation is the debut by this young and promising Israeli band and you could swear it was released back in the old days. It's almost ironic how refreshing this sounds today.

With a doomy vibe to make everything more intense, this album will surely be a favorite for the lovers of Death Metal... The Real Way.

Usually a bit put off by this kind of death metal but it's hard not to like their sound, that doom vibe throughout is quite delicious. Congrats on getting signed to Century Media. I hope the big boy bands don't treat you like the black sheep that you are over there.

as it turns out they used to be on IMperium and the guy running that label also works for Century Media. That explains CM finally picking up something which isn"t known or manufactured.

Well it's certainly a lucky break for them, wonder how they'll shape in the future on such a label.

At least they will get more exposure than before
Wouldn't surprise me if they will be teamed with Asphyx for some tours.

Heh, thanks for pointing it out. Everytime I was listening to this album I was thinking "Man I really like this album it remains me of... of..."
Yeah... It was the Old Paradise Lost feeling. Lost Paradise is also my favorite album by the band so no wonder this album came as a nice surprise.

This is my cup of tea! I've only heard a few tracks from the album so far, I hadn't even heard of Sonne Adam until today, but this is splendid. The morbid, haunting feeling is just what Death Metal should have. Agreed about that "old Paradise Lost feeling" too.

This is among the best old school death metal albums from this decade. This is how Paradise Lost would sound if they had decided to go more death instead of goth.
