22:16 - Apothecary Coffinworm disappointing? Pretty sure you're one of the very few of that opinion. Your other two examples I can get behind though
22:05 - MetalDoomMaster I'm hoping the new Voices record will not dissapoint
21:45 - !J.O.O.E.! Disappointments for me would be Coffinworm and Lord Mantis, and Blut aus Nord haven't attained masterpiece level release for a while now and their releases haven't been very visit worthy so I guess they count too.
21:44 - Apothecary I liked the sound of the preview, it sounded like Monoliths + Scott Walker, when the actual album got going, his typical poetic nonsensical rambling took over and just ruined it
21:41 - !J.O.O.E.! After the preview song there was precisely zero expectations so I can't say I was that disappointed.
21:37 - Fearmeister Mine was probably the new Sargeist :/
21:32 - Apothecary God, this Sunn O))) / Scott Walker collab is the biggest disappointment of the year :(
01. The Tragedy Within 02. Beyond Inner Sleep 03. A Deadly Path 04. Passage 05. Dead Emotion [Paradise Lost cover] 06. Hypia 07. 2nd War In Heaven 08. A Desire To Leave 1 - Obscurity 2 - Surrounding Hell 3 - ...Of Leaving
Summoning The Bygones is another one of those releases that feels like it's a lot of really interesting, well-thought out components, combined together make an underwhelming experience, all things considered.
I understood that this is a re-recording of their debut plus a couple of new songs (and Dan Swano as a guest vocalist). should be interesting but I kinda wished that they would move on from their older stuff and build upon the great Sudden Death Syndrome
The drumming on this album sucked for me. boring as hell, i love the guitar playing and general atmosphere but the drumming killed it for me. you keep thinking "oh man this would be a great time for a nice black metal fill here or there" and it never comes.
