The clean vocals are actually a big turn-off for me here... I know he's trying to (er, they're trying to) create that trendy post-rock/shoegaze/black metal thing, but this is once again another watered down version of an already dying sound.
It seems I've abandoned the bandwagon as quickly as I fell in love with this movement.

It's getting a bit boring, isn't it ?
but some bands like Fen and Agrypnie are still doing it their way and doing it damn fine if you as me

It's no different than when deathcore blew up. One or two bands come out with a few deathcore songs, then all of a sudden BAM it's taking over the metal scene.
It's unfortunate too... BIS used to be a pretty solid atmospheric/depressive black metal band. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come.

Once you go Post-Black you never go back
on a more serious note though, I only know the tracks from their split with Chaos Moon and I remember them being good. I still want to check this one out since I'm not completely off this sound yet

In my opinion, Plague Overlord is their best album, especially their cover of Sargeist's "Satanic Black Devotion".
As for the whole shoegaze thing, I always hated the movement. I hated the moment I listened to Alcest.

That and the In Hora albums are really good, back when they weren't mucking around with this "nice" stuff.
You're fortunate to have hated it from the get-go. I find my interest is waning rapidly, although there are still a few albums that I really enjoy.

Didn't a wise man once say: "It's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all?".
Shit's derp, son.

Tis true, but foresight > hindsight.
