Even though their old lead vocalist Cadaveria left back in 2001 to go do bigger things with shittier album covers, and despite their eight year hiatus, Opera IX, the Italian symphonic black metal band from back in the day, still exists... in case you forgot or something. Shit's changed since 2004 when they released their previous album though. A black man is president of the United States, Lost ended, and I'm not 13 anymore. Three big things. So the question has to be, have these guys overcome their 2004iness and made something fresh-sounding we, with our iPod Nanos and Nintendo DS's, can enjoy? Read more ›› |
