Maybe this band is unknown to you, to me and to many people around the world, but that's not the way it is on Poland, where Closterkeller are quite popular. They're popular, I think, because 2 reasons: first, they've been around for quite a while now (their first album being released in 1989), and second, they combine Gothic Metal/Rock with Pop music, so they have a broader audience, thus becoming popular.
