After 5 years of stillness, German Progressive Metal band, Dreamscape returns with their new album, properly entitled "End Of Silence".
Dreamscape is a band with history, founded in 1986 and with only 2 releases before this (1997's "Trance Like State" and 1999's "Very"), they had many line-up changes and bad record deals, so don't be afraid if you don't know them since they're relatively unknown outside of Germany.

I think it would be low to say it's a DT knockoff but it's fair to say they capture a lot of DT's sound from the early 90's. I call it "Pictures and Speech" - a fantastic follow up to Images and Words. I kinda like that Dreamscape doesn't explode my mind with huge (sometimes ridiculous) solos. This album is crunchy when it needs to be and soft when it needs to be. It's just right which makes it a lot of fun to listen to.

Similar to early thrash metal, German big 4 was not so influenced by the US big 4 as they began simultaneously. Likewise with DT & DS.
