even official snow mobile roads are 99% safe, but we ride over all and be in ice its always at your own risk, and mid april is my border when I go on the ice
We have one ice road for cars, in Luleå you can drive car to small islands . To get to the town I need cross 6 lakes, by snow mobile and almost all roads cross some water way. I gass as crazy when I cross rivers or big big lakes

"Another day, another Doug."
"I'll fight you on one condition. That you lower your nipples."
" 'Tis a lie! Thy backside is whole and ungobbled, thou ungrateful whelp!"
'Land of Canaan' and 'Kings of Edom' are worth dying for. The rest is.... forgettable, rather
Yeah, I agree those two are definitely the highlights but I'd add 'Hellequin'. The album is worth those three songs, but the rest are good enough to enjoy a full listen.
Anyway, I read they are taking a whole different direction with this one. I wonder what are they going to do...
Can't wait for the release...Why so long?!
As for the last album...I thought is was very, very good and intence. One of the few albums that cathed on me from the first listening. Lemuria and Sirius B failed in accomplishing that task. As for me, I prefer Therion's Theli, think that it's their best album and one of the best albums ever released.

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
The website of Effenaar (the venue where Therion will kick off their tour) posted the following news:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"After 25 years, the Band Therion has decided to start a different journey. Therion main man and founder Christofer Johnson has announced that there will be no more regular album releases and no more regular tours for many years. The band will perform at Festivals from time to time, but apart from that they will focus on different band projects.
The first project is an art project celebrating the 25th anniversary of the band. The project involves a self released CD that will be entitled "Les Fleurs Du Mal", which will be sold at the band's concerts during the Flowers of Evil tour in Europe. The record will later be licensed and distributed to record stores. At this point, nobody knows how the album sounds, as they are not sending out any promotional copies to the press until the first concert.
At each show of the Flowers of Evil tour, Christofer Johnsson has also announced that he will be spending several hours meeting with the fans, dedicating CD's, making photos, and just hanging out to talk with people.
After this project has ended, the band has said they will be working on a rock opera, a huge project that will take several years to realise."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
So at the least the album will be made available through stores, as for the rest... let's say I'm glad I got my tickets for the effenaar show.

The more that things change...the more they stay the same.
I thought the new album to be very good. I am a big Therion fan but thought Lemuria and Sirius B not nearly as good as their latest releases in Sitra and Gothik. Hellequin is the highlight imo, written by former drummer Petter Karlsson, with the eponymous Sitra Ahra , Kali Yuga III ,Cú Chulainn and Land of Canaan as very solid songs. Love Land of Canaan's range of instruments and tempos. I only stop listening at the last track, ill save my children singing for another brick in the wall. Only surpassed by Theli and Vovin imho! Too bad for the long hiatus on more touring .
Only distributed at gigs? Odd choice, but I'm sure it'll be on the internet for the taking soon enough.

Kick Ass, Die Young
Less is More
Stay Pure
Stay Poor
Music was my life, music brought me to life and music is how I will be remembered long after I leave this life. When I die there will be a final waltz in my head that only I can hear.
I think new update is, they will also release it into regular distribution a bit later
also Nuclear Blast is not going to release this (they refused it), but Christopher is going to release it through his own label...and the songs should be french chansons in original, so this may be just one big cover album...

Finally I got my dead man sleep

I agree that the songs in their last album are good enough to enjoy a full listen... Sitra Ahra and Kings of Edom are my fave in that album
Bought the cd at yesterdays show at Effenaar - Netherlands. Definitely something different this time around. All the songs are in French and are still Therion to my ears. I understand why Nuclear Blast didn't go for it though. It sounds more like a project but then again, it's not like Therion never did anything odd before. I won't rate it just yet. Deserves a couple spins before a balanced assesment can be made, but I do not dislike what I'm hearing.
This is downright horrible. Quite possibly the worst music i've heard in awhile. They have always been one of my top 3 bands, at least for the material up to (and including) Gothic Kabbalah.
