Pretty good album, even if every song pretty much follows the same formula. It's essentially an album full of punchy powerful songs and soaring vocals, just like consistent power metal should be. Not sure why it's labelled here as "progressive" power metal (I myself can't see where the progressive part comes in), but it'd definitely consistent as a power metal album. A few weak tracks on here such as 'Follow', 'Ares' and 'Absence of light' disappointed me a little, but that's probably only because they're overshadowed by stronger songs such as excellent opener 'beneath a veil of crying souls' and 'Within a dream'.

Shame Urban Breed left. Ronnie Hemlin and his warbling are terrible. Literally every song this bloke has ever sung on sounds the same.

I think i've listented to this 4 times all the way through and I can't remember once single thing from the album. This is not good on any level. The singer is extremely bland (funny he's the brother of the singer in Nordman...) but I don't think it's he's fault that this sucks, the music is just meaty uninspiring riffs that goes on and on and on and.... No thanks, won't listen to this one ever again.
