I can understand people get bored with this album, especially if they only liked the Power Metal of "Heaven Is Calling", "Savior" and "Fame And Fortune". In this aspect FACING YOUR ENEMY is comparable to the latest Edguy releases, there's a big variety between Power Metal, Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. At first the melodies seem too familiar, but give it time, this first-glance "weakness" allows them to grow fairly quick on you. Rick Altzi sounds terrific, a hybrid of Apollo Papathanasio and David Coverdale. Lenk delivers melodic riffs and tasty classical inspired shredding. Rythm section is steady, not doing much else, letting guitars and vocals really upfront. Production is juicy and glossy in a pleasant way, I like it very much!
