I have given this multiple clean and thorough listens. For post fans that need to quench a Tool and Isis thirst this is the antidote. Nothing genre bending but a worthy effort in the huge post metal pool today.

Impossible to choose between this and Whales And Aurora for best post metal album of 2012.
Certainly a debut I was thrilled with!!

Although The Shipwreck is quite good, Exogenesis is better. Well-written and quality production that reminds me so much of Isis it nearly brings a tear to my eye

For me, it lies between this, Sunpocrisy and Atoma. Although I probably enjoy this the most, I'm giving Atoma the vote, since I feel they have more to contribute to the genre.

It has all the elements that I like in Post Metal and add to that the great clean vocals but still it didn't click with me, I don't remember listening to it all at once and even though I listened to it a few times since BC's review I still find it unmemorable :\
