Regression To Nothingness is the sophomore effort by les hommes du doom, Inborn Suffering. After taking several years off following the well regarded '06 release Wordless Hope these French doomsters (restating in case "les hommes du doom" wasn't obvious enough) decided to reconvene and crank out another death doom offering.

Might sound like a typical Doom/Death for the fans of other genres, but It is typically different.
As Bad English said, doom lovers would get it

Yeah although it sounds like a typical Death/Doom record it has an edge, something about it is a bit different and definitely good. Hopefully this impression will last beyond 3 or 4 plays

definitely more engaging that most, I'd say.
Not quite a 9, but higher than an 8 lol

Haven't really given it any thorough listens since the time I posted the former comment, will probably give it a couple of listens in the next couple of days. Only thing that I remember is that I found it to be an improvement over their earlier stuff.

I am surprised to see that the vocals are done by Laurent because imo his vocals sound a lot different to what he usually does in Mourning Dawn

Didn't know that it was the same guy from Mourning Dawn, his vocals there are a lot more extreme and more similar to his work in Funeralium

Jo of Ataraxie does the funeralium vocals and only guested on the last Mourning Dawn album

I only know the last Mourning Dawn album and thought he did Funeralium's vocals so I have no idea what Laurent's vocals are like and subsequently have nothing important to add to this conversation
