Trials did a pretty good job last year. And the year before, we had Sodom and Flotsam & Jetsam =P

I haven't heard any of those, and considering how few recent releases manage to grab my attention I'll check those out. Have you heard the latest Overkill? Very memorable one I found.

yep, I have... but I still don't think it's as memorable as it could be. However, it is probably my favourite thrash release released this year, among the ones I've listened to anyway (Angelus Apatrida, Aura Noir, Exumer, Overkill, Testament, After All, Cripper, Dew-Scented, Savage Messiah, Tankard, Deathhammer, Kreator, Shadows Fall, Lamb Of God, Municipal Waste).
Hoping the following will give me a nice surprise when I get round to listening to them: Lich King, Sylosis, Ketzer, Warrick, Hexen, Incapacitate
And yes, you're right... Recent thrash is rather meh once it wears off. I only really enjoy those three in terms of recent releases (=

Vocalist vaguely reminds me of Axl Rose on Chinese Democracy.. Not a bad thing though

This is great stuff. "Fatal Infection", "Hail To The Thief" and "At War With Thy Neighbour", are particularly memorable.
