Rating: 7 I am very much looking forward to this album. Ulver is such a unique band, and I hope this will be a great follow-up to "Wars of the Roses".

Oh boy oh boy oh boy.

Is this true? New album already?

  I can't wait!

It's not an actual studio album - it's a live album from the concert with the Tromsø Chamber Orchestra:

Quote:
ULVER with TROMSØ CHAMBER ORCHESTRA: Messe I.X-VI.X
This one will be released by us, here - in the ether - next year, putting it up for download only via our new app and related online channels.
(...)
More info on Messe I.X-VI.X - formats and pre-ordering etc. - will follow shortly. In the meantime, have a look at some of the material from the concert in Tromsø, which forms the basis of the album

Rating: 8 I thought this was going to be more background listen material but works just fine on standalone listens as well.

Rating: 6 Another Ulver record, and another one I think to myself "Hey, this sounds ok. Some nice moments here and there but ultimately pretty disjointed. I think I'll go listen to Deaf Center now." I just don't think Ulver have it in them to make a purely cohesive record that sounds like a whole rather than cobbled together parts.

Rating: 7 Nice album, more of the same. it has some cool high parts (Son of Man). This just sounds like a really cool movie soundtrack. Ulver could do a good soundtrack for a big budget movie, if anyone would let them. they could make $$$
Unhealer - 19.09.2013 at 23:53
Rating: 8 Ahhh, the ending of the first track is so damn amazing. I'm addicted.

Seconded.
