When I heard this album I began to feel homicidial tendencies toward Hansi Kursh. Why? Because his influences on Shaffer have ruined the perfect heavy style of early Iced Earth. In fact, since the "Demons and Wizards" project between the two musicians (which I see more as a Blind Guardian album with Shaffer playing guitar?) the mastermind of Iced Earth has been attracted by Blind Guardian's choral-melodic style.

Concept album based on horror movies, "Horror Show" is a very particular album in Iced Earth discography. First, it's the last studio album recorded with singer Matt Barlow if you don't count the box-set "Dark Genesis". Then, it's probably the most experimental and hence criticized effort of the band.

I love this album! It's probably tied with Burnt Offerings as my fave Iced Earth album. The concept is very kewl, and what is also great about it, is each song musically completely fits with the character and lyrics. What is ironic, is that Jon himself doesnt regard this album, or Burnt Offerings highly, yet they are my two faves! I never get bored of Horror Show, every time I listen to it, it rocks my socks off!

As far as i heard i think this might be their best album. I'm not a fan of the band as i think they are overrated compared to their fame but they are good. I don't know all their songs but i like a few songs from each album and this album sounds the best. Dracula is enough...

I loved the lyrical themes of this album!
Dracula and Ghost of Freedom were the highlights for me and are actually 2 of my fave songs of all time. Dracula being a Powerful and Epic masterpiece of a song and Ghost of Freedom a classic and evoking ballad.
As great as these songs are, the rest of the album is not at the same standard. Theres another few good tracks and then the rest is forgettable.
