Rating: 10 I love DevilDriver and cannot wait for this release. Beast was an awesome album and if this is close to as good it will be great.

Rating: 8 Never thought I'ld say it, but... DevilDriver Kills it's more appropriate.

The cover of Sail is absolutely awesome!

"Beast" was definitely the heaviest and harshest Devildriver album to date. This one is groovier, more catchy, and less death metal in sound than it's predecessor. Still good though, I like it!

Rating: 8 Isn't this album thrash ?
deadone - 01.01.2014 at 16:26
Only if you've never heard Thrash!

Devil Driver are hard to classify but I'd say Groove Metal/Metalcore.

Nothing wrong with those two genres- I'm going to listen to Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power for breakfast.

Ya it's not too often someone thinks of DevilDriver as thrash. Maybe like an alternative form of thrash (basically groove metal as deadone pointed out).
deadone - 02.01.2014 at 16:25
Groove Metal is basically an off shoot of Thrash so it makes sense. Basically the Thrash bands slowed down and got heavier.
