Guys, guys, do you remember this? No matter how far you'd get those fingers up your ears, you couldn't just enjoy the first few minutes of your movie because you got your eardrums punctured? Yeah, well, Mechanical Tides starts exactly like that: with a loud bang that you will only associate with good memories in the future.

This could deserve a little more attention. Although I'm a little surprised it's actually already in the database. Nothing better than nice sludgy grindcore to end the day with. And most probably start the day with tomorrow as well.

Not big into grindcore besides Pig Destroyer, but I like this. It's a bit grimier and I like the vocals. The slower tracks break up the pace, but it winds up being inconsistent. I should never want to hit the skip button in a good album, but it is especially unforgiveable in a genre known for its brevity and tightness. Even so, there is enough going on here to seperate from the peers to make it a recommendation.
